46 pupils and 3 teachers took part on a piloting day at Isoniittu School at Klaukkala, Finland. Children were excited to have something scientific from Heureka to experience. Four Activities were offered:
- Archimedes Experiment, where they measured volumes of several objects and understood why Archimedes yelled: Heureka!
- Money Laundering, where the pupils cleaned one cent coins and understood what acid and sour mixtures made to metal alloys
- Find the Mistakes and Lab Disasters, which gave the pupils a good idea of laboratory safety
The Activities worked well even as short 20-minutes versions for groups. All the teachers were anxious to test these and other 97 OTA Activities on their own classroom work.
